Radio Fox continues to be the most popular radio station amongst listeners in the Leicester Royal Infirmary and the Glenfield Hospital, according to the latest information supplied by Patientline.
The station had an average audience share of 37% during the survey period compared to 19% for the second most popular station, and also enjoyed its strongest Sunday since audience information was first collection in 1999.
Strong audience figures were also enjoyed for our coverage of the Leicester Caribbean Carnival and for commentary of Leicester City's opening game of the season. Audience share for coverage of the City game peaked at 45%, more than any other station available to listeners within the hospitals.
Station Director Steve Hack was delighted with the audience figures. "As always, even if we are just making one listener's time in hospital more bearable we are doing our job, but everyone at Radio Fox is delighted that so many people are tuning in to our programmes. What is particularly pleasing is that we are enjoying good audiences during the day when no request shows are broadcast."
