03 October 2016 – World Mental Health Day – Monday 10th October 2016.

Monday 10th October 2016 is World Mental Health Day.  To highlight this important area of well-being Radio Fox presenter Johnny Bance recently interviewed Pete Hirst vocalist from the acoustic band Refuge.  Refuge work within the Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust performing in the hospital wards for patients.

Pete Hirst also spoke of the rethinkyourmind project.  Created by those with experience of mental health challenges, themselves service users – its purpose to creatively express well-being.

Everyone from Leicester Leicestershire & Rutland can enter pieces of art photography & poetry around the theme ‘I Feel Better When I am’. Great prizes to be won with the possibility of being published in The LPT Yellow Book & appearing on music singles by The Bluetones lead singer Mark Morriss & BBC Radio 2 folk award winner Lucy Ward & Refuge. The project is free to enter & open to all ages.
