19 September 2016 – Vista eye health charity will be in Leicester town centre on Wednesday 21st September.

Vista is one of the oldest and largest local charities in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Vista have been working with people with sight loss and their families for over 150 years. Vista will be at the Leicester Haymarket Memorial Clock Tower next Wednesday 21st  September, 10am to 3pm, to mark National Eye Health Week. Vista’s aim is to:

  1. Promote eye health to prevent sight loss;
  1. Reduce the impact of sight loss, and
  1. Provide support and care for people with sight loss.

As well as rehabilitation, residential homes, social groups and befriending services, Vista provides specialist services for people with learning disabilities, dementia and dual sensory impairment.

They are there at the point of diagnosis, supporting children and adults in eye clinics by providing information, advice, guidance and support when it’s most needed.
